Terms of Use

These terms apply to use of Rancho Cucamonga Residents Directory. Continuing to use the reference means these terms are accepted. Anyone who does not accept them should leave the service and contact the official custodian for a record instead.

1. What This Website Is

Rancho Cucamonga Residents Directory is a privately operated reference to public rolls, record indexes, and historical collections connected with Rancho Cucamonga, San Bernardino County, and California. It does not hold government records and is not affiliated with a city, county, state, court, library, or records custodian.

2. Acceptable Use

Use the reference only for lawful purposes. You may not use it or information reached through it to:

  • Stalk, harass, intimidate, threaten, or harm another person
  • Find someone protected by a restraining or protective order
  • Commit identity theft, fraud, or another crime
  • Make a decision regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act, including credit, employment, tenant, or insurance decisions
  • Scrape, republish, or copy the content at scale
  • Disrupt the service or defeat its security

3. No Consumer Reports

This service is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. §1681 et seq. Neither the pages nor any linked search tool returns a consumer report. Nothing obtained through the reference may be used to judge eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or another purpose covered by the FCRA.

4. External Links

County portals, California agencies, court systems, libraries, archives, and sponsored tools have separate terms. Rancho Cucamonga Residents Directory does not control their content, availability, charges, security, or data practices.

5. No Warranties

The reference is supplied “as is” and “as available.” No warranty is made that a page, link, coverage note, fee, record description, or search result is accurate, complete, current, or continuously available.

6. Liability Limits

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operators are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or similar damages arising from use of the reference or a linked resource, including an action taken from a record found through it.

7. Indemnity

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold the operators harmless from claims, demands, losses, and reasonable attorneys’ fees arising from misuse of the service or violation of these terms.

8. Copyright and Layout

The original writing, visual design, logo, and layout are protected by copyright. Linking to a page and quoting a brief attributed excerpt is permitted. Reproducing a full page or systematically copying the collection is not.

9. Changes

The operators may revise these terms by posting a new version here. Continued use after publication of a revision signifies acceptance of the changed terms.

10. Access Restrictions

Access may be blocked or limited for a person who breaches these terms, abuses the service, or threatens its operation. The operators may act without advance notice.

11. California Law

California law governs these terms without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Public-record references on the site point to the California Public Records Act, Government Code §§7920.000–7931.000. Privacy references include the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, including the Civil Code provisions beginning at §1798.100. Those statutes govern the relevant custodian or covered business, not every third-party portal or government record.

12. Severability

If a court finds one provision unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect.

13. Questions
